This is a gem of a spot in Lakeland. To get food of this quality and craft you generally need to get into Tampa. The appetizers (Ceviche was well balanced, Garbanzo bean soup was incredible and a must try, Octopus was to die for) were all delicious and plated beautifully. The half rack of lamb, Paella and the seabass chimi were just delightful. A fine place of willing to spend about $80-100 per person. Will absolutely return

Dinner earlier this week at Lakeland’s Michelin Star Recommended Nineteen61! Started with Chips, Avocado Mousse & Tomatillo Salsa. I ordered the Pollo Saltado which I’ve had before and my husband ordered the Delmonico which came with a Nineteen61 salad and side of potatoes. Food & service was great as always! We’ve been here before and will be back again!

Wonderful dining experience! Highly recommend! We had an excellent dinner experience for our date night! The Empanadas, 1961 salad, Churrasco Steak, and Pollo Saltado were all delicious! Our server took excellent care of us. Free parking on the weekends in the City of Lakeland - Main Street Parking Garage just one block down the street.

Easily top restaurant we've been to. The food was exceptional. Amazing twists to dishes we've had many times before. The Poutine Cubano was a winner for everyone. The Puervian ceviche was my top favorite. The calamari was spicy in the best way. Best way we've ever had calamari. The main dishes were just as delicious. Seafood paella, roja Verde, pinacho and chipotle salmon. No one had a bad dish. And the dessert creme brulee was a brilliant way to finish off the meal.

Amazing experience from start to finish! We came for brunch and everything was simply outstanding. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the music created the perfect vibe to relax and enjoy. Since it was our first time visiting, they kindly welcomed us with a complimentary glass of champagne each, which made the experience feel even more special. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish exceeded our expectations. We started with the ceviche, which was fresh and perfectly balanced. For drinks, the pisco sour was incredibly good — one of the best we’ve had. As main dishes, we ordered the vaca frita and the Cuban sandwich, both full of flavor and cooked to perfection. To finish, we had the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending. A special thank you to our server, Sian, who was very attentive and made our visit even more enjoyable with his great service and friendly attitude. This is officially my favorite restaurant in the area. Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back!
